  1. Head of a Roman Patrician from Otricoli:
    - his eyes aren't hollow
    - it's a 'bust' sculpture; so head up
    - sculptured out of marble
    - this was created in a way of marking his grave
    - very realistic wrinkles, can see a scar.. you can clearly see he is aged.
    - the point wasn't to make them look idealistic it was to make them look realistic

    Head of Pompey The Great:
    - carved out of marble, a bust sculpture
    - made to look realistic

    The Baths Of Cracalla:
    - this whole building is like a centre of the culture
    - was only open for men, not female
    - this is the area you'd go if you were to study, sports events too place, to debate, acting took place, this was for the important people in society.
    - there are columns down the side, high ceilings, paintings on the roof, a lot of sculptures looking down on the balcony, social place.
    - Romans believed in the beauty, because they knew it was a social place so they then decided to place all the paintings around - showing off
    - it's actually a monument to humanity,
    - very detailed

    Herakles And Telephus 189 x 218cm, Fresco:
    - Fresco means fresh, to paint of fresh plaster
    - father and son
    - many stories behind this painting
